moskitoo(b. 1978) is sound artist and graphic designer in Japan.
She began making music in 1997 playing guitar and small casio keyboards in
various bands in Sapporo. In 2005 she began writing,
playing, and singing under the moniker Moskitoo. “Drape”
(12k1041) is her first full-length release.
She plays guitar, metallophone, organ, drum machines,
synthesizers and nostalgic toy instruments in this album…
A 4 track EP with remixes shortly followed,
featuring remixes by Frank Bretschneider, Mark Fell and Taylor Dupree,
who was also the mastering engineer on “Drape”.
She currently lives in Tokyo.

1978年12月26日生まれ。札幌出身のサウンドアーティスト、グラフィックデザイナー。
身の回りにある様々な楽器、オブジェクトと、自身の声を幾重にも折り重ねて、神秘的でアブストラクトな作品を製作してきている。
2007年、ニューヨークの12kより1stアルバム”DRAPE”をリリース。
以降、テイラー・デュプリー(12k)、フランク・ブレットシュナイダー (raster/Noton)、マーク・フェル(SND)によるリミックスEPや、日本画家西尾早苗とのコラボレーション作品　「Si Sol E.P.」(７inch EP)をリリース。2011年 iPad/iPhone用「音楽絵本・銀河鉄道の夜」(作・宮沢賢治、絵・西念武志)の音楽を担当。
これまでに、フランス、オランダ、スイス、ニューヨーク、カナダ、オーストラリアなど、8カ国18都市での海外公演を行ってきており、様々なフェスティバルへ招聘されるなど、国内外問わずマイペースに活動の幅を広げている。
2007年より FilFlaの作品、ライブにヴォーカリストとして参加中。
