This is an illustrated musical version of Ginga Testsudo no Yoru. The original short story was written by one of Japan’s leading children’s authors, Kenji MIYAZAWA. In this application, dream-like illustrations and the translucent sound of toytronica music take the reader along a journey into the beautiful, profound world of the Galactic Railway

On Spetember 18, 2011, the L’Air de Sainen studio of Tokyo-based painter and designer Takeshi Sainen will release an English-language version of their Ginga Tetsudo no Yoru—an Illustrated Book with Music, which went on sale in Japan in April this year.

この絵本は、宮沢賢治氏の海外での認識、情報、普及を推進することを大義として、 製作されております。
近年の電子媒体の登場と共に、このアプリケーションが 世界の方々が手軽に銀河鉄道の夜をはじめ、 日本文学に触れる機会の架け橋となれれば幸いです。
また日本国内の方々に対しましては、英語学習のきっかけになればと、 日本の文学に造詣が深い、北九州大学で英語の教壇に立たれております、 ロジャー・プライア先生が翻訳を監修してくださいました。
